There Be Cabbage Here

Oops, forgot to post that I had planted some cabbage seed on Sunday evening. Planted 16 seed in 8 pots and Wednesday evening they were up, 11 out of the 16. Those will be put in bed 2 as soon as I get water available (by Tuesday, I hope). There are 4 rosemary up now.
Still digging ditches for water lines. Raked bed 2 and added some more composted manure to it.
A friend at work gave me some Strawberry plants today. Had to find some where to plant them before they died, so filled a couple of buckets with soil and compost to plant them into temporally. I have an idea for a small planter for their permanent home. Will work on that after work tomorrow evening.

Nice one! My Thai Aubergine came up over the last few days! It's all kicking off!

Have you previously used the newspaper pots? Good success with them?

IG - congratulations

Momma - I seem to remember planting some onions in paper pots about 28 years ago, don't remember how they worked out though.

Hi..I noticed you were following our Beer Garden Blog and came over to check out your site....I saw that Annies Granny commented about you being a "neighbor"....seems we are all kind of neighbors so to speak...I'm in north Idaho. Welcome to the Beer Garden and I look forward to reading your blog. Btw...I have had great success with the newspaper pots.

Oh, you are soooo far ahead of me! But I'm home now, and as soon as I can get everything unpacked and put away, I'll get out to the garden shed and begin getting things ready for seedlings. The weather was gorgeous for the entire trip, and I have overwintered spinach and all my shallots are up! I'll probably have to dig up my strawberries and replant them after killing the grass that grew in that bed while I was gone :-(
